The effects that a manual therapy intervention has on visual ability have been little studied in the literature.
Goal:
Evaluate the effect of osteopathic treatment on the visual system.
Participants: 27 subjects aged between 19 and 34 years (mean = 24.39; std dev = 4.56) with refractive error between 6 diopters of myopia and 5 of hyperopia, any degree of astigmatism, visual acuity minimum 20/40 OU.
Excluding patients with systemic and ophthalmic problems, with strabismus, pregnant patients, or with a history of head trauma. Finally, patients who have already undergone osteopathic treatment in the last 2 months.
